My name is Karen D. Parkin (ARM®, GRI, REALTOR®/Broker) with Wilmington's Best Rentals where I serve as the Broker-in-Charge/Property Manager.

I believe all organizations are like jigsaw puzzles. If everyone were to take part in a small portion, we could join the entire puzzle together in an orderly way and create a real work of art. Bit by bit, we could finish projects in a timely fashion and draw from the creativity of all involved. As my friends and I have found in our work with American Diabetes Association & JDRF., when you work as a TEAM, the end result is more productive and beneficial.

 

My work in the real estate community speaks for itself. I have been involved in property management since early 1998. My commitment to my owners in the property management field has earned me their respect and referrals to their friends and family members. I am currently a member of NCAR-PMD (Property Management Council as well as a member of IREM (Institute of Real Estate Management). Early in my career I obtained my GRI (Graduate of the Real Estate Institute) as well as earning my ARM (Accredited Residential Manager) designation. In 2005, I served as the Chairperson for the Property Management Council and as Vice Chairperson in 2004. Currently I am a member of the WRAR PAH, (Partners for Affordable Housing). I have been a Director for 5 years with WRAR (Wilmington Regional Association of Realtors), the 2010 MLS President and President of our local Board in 2011.

In March 2008, Bob McWaters and I became joint partners in our newly founded company, Wilmington's Best Rentals. Thereby, offering clients full service Real Estate and Property Management Sevices in one location. We have grown to over 275 properties to date. Born in Essex, England, I was then relocated as a teenager to Johannesburg, South Africa with my parents and three siblings where I remained for 20 years before relocating my own family to the East Coast of the USA.
